I am a Tampa native and graduated from the University of Montevallo in Montevallo, Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Education of the Hearing Impaired.
I did my student teaching at the Talladega School for the Deaf, then moved back home to Tampa to teach in both Hillsborough and Pasco County for the next 23 years. I have taught all areas in exceptional student education but my favorite is working with children on the autism spectrum. I have also taught 1st-3rd grades with my favorite being first grade! From there I became an office manager for a gymnastics and dance studio for 6 years, still working with children but gaining immense customer service experience. Currently, I am working at Progressive Insurance beside my sister and my daughter!
In my spare time, I love to cook, garden, go thrifting, and read. However, my favorite thing is to spend time with my husband of almost 29 years, my son and daughter who still live at home, and my rescue dog Maximas.
Fun Fact: I can not pass by a dog without petting it!
